So… I get a ton of compliments on my skin, and I am asked what I do and what I use. I decided to share my specific skin care regimen. I’m not implying that one MUST use the products I do, or follow the same regimen that I do. Everyone’s skin is different, and everyone’s skin responds differently to products and regimens.

In the photo above, I am not wearing ANY foundation. The only make up I’m wearing is gold shimmer eyeshadow, mascara, and simple Chapstick. I don’t wear foundation unless I absolutely have to. I’ll elaborate more later in the blog. Here we go!

1. Start from the inside.

a. I take beauty vitamins. Yes, I know how it sounds, but it works! The brand that I use is called “Be Beautiful” by GNC. When I first started taking vitamins, I started with the Hair, Skin, and Nails Program. The program costs about $25, and lasts for 30 days as long as you TAKE THEM EVERYDAY! The program includes the beauty pills (hair, skin, and nails), primrose oil pills, and collagen pills. When I was done with the program, my skin looked and felt amazing! I also took my regular multivitamin (GNC Women’s Ultra Mega). If you’re not comfortable with taking all if the supplements just the HSN product should suffice. The only downside of the product is the hair growth. The places that we tend to remove hair from (legs, bikini, under arms, etc) need extra TLC since it grows faster while you take the supplements.

b. Drink plenty of water and fresh juice! Water is a wonderful for the skin! It helps dilute toxins in the body that lead to break outs. It also helps the skin stay hydrated. FUN FACT: Water also aids in weight loss! Carrot juice I also a great way to take care of your skin. The benefits of carrot juice are extensive; This also helps clear the toxins from the body, acts as a natural sunblock, promotes new cell growth, and helps prevent and treat diseases. You can find more information about carrot juice here; http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/carrot-juice-benefits-skin-131500968.html

c. STAY AWAY FROM soda, greasy food, alcohol, and candy. I would also limit red meat consumption. I know these are the hardest things to avoid, but earning off of these can improve skin immensely.

2. Cleansing

I use different cleansing products depending on the condition my skin is in at the time.

a. BREAKOUTS - Most of us suffer from this… Some worse than others but it happens. If I have a breakout I use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash until the break out is gone. For a spot treatment I use Neutrogena Rapid Clear Face pads. If you decide to try these, don’t over do it! If used in excess the skin will dry out. I use the cleanser twice a day and spot treat for two days. Usually the break out is almost or completely healed. Again, these products have extreme drying effects to dry out acne.
